Lucky me! I was fortunate enough to be asked to create an illustration that would be featured on a poster that celebrated your favorite band of all time: The Beatles. There were a million different ways I could have gone but my ultimate solution was to re-imagine the King Features syndicate's Beatles animated television series circa 1969. It's them...just with more hair.

Sovietsky Toyuz…I was inspired to do this poster by a Styrofoam Soviet 'Yak' toy airplane that I found at a flea market in Washington DC. I wanted to incorporate a Constructivist-style type design while handling the subject in a playful way (which makes sense seeing that it is a toy and all.)

This poster — part of a poster study commissioned by The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in anticipation of its 75th anniversary celebration — was meant to put a modern spin on the original posters, commissioned by the U.S. Government for the newly created Rural Electrification Administration (REA) and created by the great innovator, Lester Beall.
This one was a bit of an outlier in its design but I thought it worked.

It was truly my honor to be asked to work on this project and I hope I did The Beall work justice.
